Week Nine

Week nine brought a sense of normality back into the course after experiencing week eight and the multimedia presentation. One of the highlighted moments this week was a group meeting with Dr. Powley, Toinette, Arlene and others. During the meeting, we were guided by Dr. Powley to conduct online conversations on a particular subject or topic, and monitoring carefully the conversation so that there is structure and there are no deviations with regard to topic.

Earlier this week, I spoke with Robert, while we both were in our classroom, this is becoming a routine and I look forward to our conversations. I also spoke with Zaria and Mia. Signed up to share files with Toinette. A short coming of mine, is that I usually chat with many of my class mates, as this takes away the feeling of being alone in this academic struggle. However, I do not record names and so I as I post, I am unable to record all the names of those whom I chat with.

Presently, I am in the Bahamas on a five day vacation with my kids. I am enjoying the peace, tranquility and slow pace of life and I am happy that I am able to access the internet anytime I want to. Marcelle

    Hello Marcelle,

I am just like you. I go online make comments, review presentation, and chat in the IM and I do not write names down. Later, after the discussions I am trying to remember who I spoke with. However, this week I posted to my blog immediately after the IM chat session and I was able to get all names correct. Although we only have three weeks left, this maybe my new routine.

The lesson on LMS and LCMS was very interesting and informative for me. All of the post were very informative and straight forward. In addtion, to date all of the presentation, including yours were great.

    Marcelle,
Learning about LOs and repositories this week has been very rewarding. The web resources to teach about sharing LOs are themselves LOs. That is the good thing about technology. You can access a repository to learn about repositories or view a powerpoint on powerpoint or listen to a podcast on podcasting. I've learned so much just using the technology and yet there is always so much more to learn.
