Reflections
This week was an interesting one. HBO spent all day at my school developing a documentary about the school as my school is becoming a model one. Some of this factors that led to this move are a high level of discipline, routines, test scores etc. that are being employed there. HBO wants to share these successes with other institutions and also use it a a kind of promotion for the school.

I shared this information with some of my classmates Cherrina, Renae, Zaria and others and we examined the intricacies of such a move. I also spoke at other times with Sakina, Arlene and Christine. One of my colleagues and I decided to use the audio, but for some reason we did not succeed, we heard the phone ringing but nothing we pressed allowed us to hear each other. I communicate with Dr. Powley through Audio, he used a Web Cam and I was able to see him as he spoke. I enjoyed the discussions synchronous and asynchronous approaches and how the former can be compared with the traditional classroom.

I responded to Cherrina, Kathleen and Toinette blogs from week 6.

    Marcelle,

Congratulations! Your school is certainly doing something right. Keep up the good work. I am sure your students are feeling very proud to be a part of such an awesome school community. Sorry my audio was not working that night we wanted to talk. I have not tried it since. I think I will work on it tomorrow night(4/30) to make sure it is okay for the next time we meet online.

    Marcelle,

Of course, I am now curious about your school and why, specifically, it is being highlighted by HBO. Can you share more details? Thanks.
